COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- In their final conference game on the road of the 2010-11 season, the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles will head to Martin, Tenn. to take on the Skyhawks on Saturday at 6 p.m. At present, Tech ranks fourth in the conference with their 9-6 record, while UTM sits in eighth with a record of 4-10.

The last time the two teams met is not an event to be forgotten, as the Golden Eagles and Skyhawks battled down to the wire in a triple overtime contest that culminated in a 109-105 win for Golden Eagles at home. Junior point guard Zac Swansey also notched his first career double-double with 19 points and 11 assists on the game.

That win on Jan. 13 gave Tech a 30-11 lead on the lifetime series, and stretched the team’s win streak over the Skyhawks to three.

Headed into the game, Tech will be coming off a loss to Murray State in the CSFB Center, while Martin has won five of its last eight games, including its most recent 68-55 victory over Jacksonville State.
