COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Whether it's the afternoon or the evening, Tennessee Tech basketball fans can brace themselves for some non-stop action this winter in Eblen Center as the women's and men's teams host a total of 31 games on their home floor.

The tipoff times for Tech's 2010-11 home schedule were announced this week and feature four afternoon contests and 27 in the evenings.

As a general rule, most of Tech's single games will begin at 7 p.m. while home doubleheaders will typically have 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. starting times.

The action begins on Thursday, Nov. 4, when the two teams host a pair of exhibition games. The women will entertain Bryan College at 5:30 p.m., with the men hosting Carson-Newman at 7:30 p.m.

The first regular season home game for coach Sytia Messer's women's team is on Monday, Nov. 15, with a 7 p.m. tipoff time against Alabama A&M. Coach Mike Sutton's men's team hosts its first regular season home game on Tuesday, Nov. 23, with a 7 p.m. tipoff against Appalachian State.

The women's team returns home on Saturday, Nov. 27, to host Tennessee Wesleyan in a game that begins an hour earlier than usual, with a 6 p.m. start time.

On Wednesday, Dec. 1, the two teams will swap starting times for a non-conference doubleheader. The men's game will begin at 6 p.m. against SIU Edwardsville, while the women will welcome long-time arch-rival Middle Tennessee State at 8 p.m.

Through the remainder of December, single games start at 7 p.m. and doubleheaders follow the same 5:30/7:30 schedule except for one key Ohio Valley Conference date. On Sunday, Dec. 19, Eastern Illinois visits and the women's game begins at 2 p.m. followed by the men's contest at 4 p.m.

A January 2 non-conference doubleheader features the same Sunday afternoon matinee times. The women host St. Louis University at 2 p.m., and the men welcome Bluefield College at 4 p.m.

The remainder of the games in January and February will follow Tech's standard starting times with doubleheaders in the evening at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., and single games at 7 p.m. The single games include the Austin Peay men's game on Feb. 7, the Tennessee State men's game on Feb. 14, and the Tennessee State women's game on Feb. 17.

The starting times for the doubleheader on Feb. 19 are tentatively set for 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., with the women hosting Austin Peay and the men hosting a Bracket Buster game against an opponent to be named in early February. Those starting times could be changed if the men's game is selected for an ESPN telecast.

In fact, all dates and starting times remain subject to change throughout the season due to such things as any game being selected for telecast. All schedule changes or adjustments will be announced on Tech's website, TTUsports.com, as well as in a variety of additional outlets.
