Tennessee Tech basketball welcomes 2011 and Bluefield College on Sunday

Weekly Game Notes

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The TTU Golden Eagles will kick off the new year with game two of Sunday's double header event, taking on Bluefield College at 4 p.m. The women's team will face St. Louis University at 2 p.m.

Tech is a perfect 6-0 against Bluefield, and will look to continue the trend coming into the game off of a hefty 106-44 win over Crowley's Ridge College on Thursday evening. The win puts the Golden Eagles at 5-6 on the season, 2-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference.

The Rams, meanwhile, have lost their last two games to Charleston Southern and Mountain State University. Bluefield thus holds a 4-9 overall record, and has yet to commence AAC play.

Going 0-3 in the month of November and 5-3 in December, the Golden Eagles will look to widen the gap between wins and losses as they kick off the month of January with Sunday's matinee game. The Golden Eagles are currently 1-1 in games played on a Sunday, having suffered a loss to Michigan State on November 28 but defeating OVC opponent EIU on December 19.

Fans who won't be able to make it out to Eblen Center for the double header can follow the Live Stats here, or listen to Roger Ealey calling the action on the Golden Eagle Sports Network. Tickets are available through the TTU ticket office by calling (931) 372-3940 or online at TTUsports.com.
