BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech left fielder Cody Littlejohn was recognized as both the Ohio Valley Conference's Player of the Week and a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week powered by Diamond Sports as announced by the two entities on Monday.

Playing in his final four games in the purple and gold, the senior veteran saved his best for last, batting .556 with seven runs scored, two doubles, a triple, three home runs and a slugging percentage of 1.278. He added a stolen base and played perfect defense during the week as well.

In helping the Golden Eagles to a series sweep of SIUE to end the 2021 campaign, he clobbered six extra-base hits, scored seven runs and drove in eight. The outfielder enjoyed the greatest day of his career on Friday, smacking two doubles with two RBI and two runs scored in the first game of a doubleheader.

Littlejohn followed it by tying two single-game program records with three home runs and 15 total bases (he also tripled) in the second contest. He drove in five in the game, including three in the bottom of the ninth with a long ball that pulled Tech within a single score. The Golden Eagles went on to plate two more in the frame to cap a wild, walk-off victory in the season finale.

Closing out his fifth season in Cookeville, Littlejohn finished the year with team-highs of three triples, 14 home runs and a slugging percentage of .635. His 40 runs, .324 batting average, 55 hits, 37 RBI and six stolen bases all ranked third or better among the Golden Eagle bats this year.

The Decatur, Ala. native finished his career tied for 18th in program history with 22 home runs, playing 160 games with 100 starts between the infield, outfield and designated hitter. He also cracked the top-10 in school history with 24 career hit-by-pitches. As a sophomore, Littlejohn tied for the second-most RBI and second-most triples in a single game, racking up three two-baggers on his way to eight RBI in a contest against Lipscomb.
