NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Tech baseball team recorded just four hits Tuesday evening as Vanderbilt handed the Golden Eagles a 6-0 loss.

The Vandy pitching duo of Sam Selman and Brian Miller kept TTU in check all night long as each allowed just two hits apiece in the shut out. Selman (1-0) earned the win as he threw five innings, posting seven strikeouts.

TTU starter Garrett Baugh (1-2) took the loss as he gave up two runs, one earned, in four innings of work. Relief pitchers David Hess, Zane Morton, Josh Bryant and Andy Williams threw the final four innings for the Golden Eagles.

The Commodores got the scoring going in the second inning as Joel McKeithan and Anthony Gomez each drove in a run with RBI-singles to put VU up, 2-0.

Vanderbilt added four more runs in the seventh inning, two of which came off Conrad Gregor's RBI-double to right field.

Zach Stephens recorded two of Tech's four hits, while Michael Morris and Dylan Bosheers accounted for one hit each.

Tech returns home this weekend for a three-game series against Ohio Valley Conference rival Murray State. Game one of the three-game series is set for Friday at 6 p.m.
