COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech women's basketball added size, strength and skill during the early signing period as head coach Kim Rosamond announced on Thursday the addition of 6-2 post Megan Aulbert.  A talented three-sport athlete from St. Louis' Lutheran High School, Aulbert will join the program in the fall of 2023.

Competing in track and field, basketball, and softball, Aulbert put together tremendous performances in all three sports. However, it was on the court where she shined brightest. In her junior campaign, she averaged 17.0 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.5 blocks as she displayed great versatility in her game.

Under the direction of head coach Erin Luttschwager, the athletic center has led Lutheran to two district championships, a sectional championship and three conference championships as the team has not lost a conference game in four years. Aulbert is only the second player in the school's history to score over 1,000 points and pull down 600 rebounds.

"Our staff is ecstatic about the size, skill, and physicality Megan will add to our team," Rosamond said.  "She loves contact, can score with her back to basket and can knock down the 15–18-footer. She is a very good passer, and her basketball IQ is high.  She competes on both ends of the floor, and she is relentless on the boards. Megan's work ethic is off the charts, and she understands the commitment it takes to be a winner at the highest level."

Aulbert has been a two-time all-district selection, while also being named the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Athlete of the Week during her campaign. In addition to team MVP honors, she has also been named the conference and district player of the year.

The Lake Saint Louis, Mo., native played on the summer travel circuit with Coach Dennis Baggett and the Missouri Phenom program.

An exceptional student, Aulbert is a member of her school's National Honor Society, has been named to the Honor Roll every semester and has earned Academic All-Conference in all sports as well as Academic All-State honors on multiple occasions.

In her other sports, Aulbert has been a team captain in softball and holds the third-best distance in program history in the shot-put, while also competing in the discus.

"Talent is always a must, but you can't put a price tag on the intangibles" Rosamond added. "Megan is the total package, and she strives for excellence in all areas of her life. She's a servant leader who embodies the core values of our program."

Aulbert plans to study Pre-Veterinary medicine at Tech.

"I chose Tech because it was the perfect fit," Aulbert said. "I connected with the coaches immediately and felt the family atmosphere the moment I stepped on campus. Tech is both challenging athletically and academically, which will help prepare me for my future career."
