REMINDER: Biscuits and Basketball / Maintain the Tradition events this Saturday at Eblen Center

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Tech women's basketball will hold their annual Biscuits and Basketball Meet and Greet on Saturday inside the Hooper Eblen Center.  The public is invited to get a first glimpse of the 2022-23 Golden Eagle roster and take part in the "Maintain the Tradition" free-throw fundraising event that will follow directly after Biscuits and Basketball.

Chick-fil-A of Cookeville will once again serve as a sponsor of Biscuits and Basketball.  Free biscuits and coffee will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. The team will host a brief team workout, followed by team introductions and autographs.

Fans are encouraged to remain after Biscuits and Basketball to support their favorite player in the Maintain the Tradition free-throw fundraiser slated to begin around 10 a.m. Each Golden Eagle player will shoot a total of 100 free throws.  Fans can pledge an amount of money for each free throw made by a specific player or donate a flat amount to the program on behalf of a specific player. The pledge sheet can be found here or fans can pick one up at the event.

The Golden Eagles were picked to win the Ohio Valley Conference in the preseason poll at Tuesday's OVC Basketball Media Day with graduate Jordan Brock, senior Jada Guinn and junior Anna Walker named to the preseason team.

The Tech women host Stephens College on October 27th in an exhibition contest as part of the Purple Palooza event. Doors open at 4 p.m., and admission is free to the public. The women will tip off at 5:30 p.m. Regular season non-conference play begins on November 7 against Ball State with a 6 p.m. tip-off.
