Every student-athlete has a story, details about themselves and their background that extend beyond just the playing field and athletics. 

Throughout the summer, we will take a look at the members of the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team and get to know more about them, the student-athletes who are representing not just their home communities, but also the University, Cookeville and the Upper Cumberland as they don the purple and gold. We asked the team to provide 10 facts about themselves that they want you, the fans, to know about them.

Today's subject is junior Kiera Hill. A transfer from Walters State, Hill made a name for herself with the Lady Senators, earning NJCAA second-team All-America honors as she led her conference in points and rebounds per game. Hill brought home TCCAA/Region VII Women's Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year honors, as well as a spot on its first-team roster.

1. I am very excited to be here at Tech.
2. I love being in the community and giving back.
3. I love meeting new people.
4. I have a shopping addiction.
5. I love to go thrifting.
6. I am a big collector of Crocs – if you ain't Croc'n, you're not rockin'.
7. I have no musical talent, but I love music.
8. I love to cook (K's Kitchen).
9. One of my top meals I always eat is salmon, white rice and asparagus.
10. My favorite fruit is pineapple.
