Today, we feature Reagan Hurst, a redshirt freshman from Bloomington Springs, who will see her first action on the court this season for the Golden Eagles. Hurst was a highly decorated player at Upperman High School wining several district and region titles, and captured the TSSAA state title in 2018. She became the school's fifth 2,000-point scorer and garnered several impressive accolades during her senior campaign as a Lady Bee. Hurst's athleticism and versatility was on full display in high school as she was also a star player on the softball field.
Here's 10 things Hurst wants you to know about her:
- My mom (Carrie) and dad (Mike) are both TTU alumni. My mom played volleyball and my dad played baseball.
- When I grow up, I want to be in the dental field.
- In high school, I played softball as well as basketball, and had offers to play softball at the Division I level.
- My favorite place to shop is TJ Maxx.
- I have a slight shoe obsession.
- My favorite place to eat is at Texas Roadhouse.
- I have an older sister who plays at Campbellsville University.
- I was on the 2017-18 Upperman Class AA state championship team.
- In high school, I was named a TSSAA Miss Basketball finalist my junior year, then was named Miss Basketball my senior year as well as a McDonald's All-American nominee.
- My No. 10 jersey is now retired at Upperman High School.
