COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – While it was a slight change of scenery on Monday with preparations for the University's Career Fair and SOLO Concert in the Hooper Eblen Center, the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team moved a few buildings down to the Marc Burnett Fitness Center to have its first official practice of the season.
With a quartet of new faces and an experienced lineup, the Golden Eagles took what they learned in their offseason workouts and are building momentum for another phenomenal season. The Tech women finished second in the Ohio Valley Conference last year in the regular-season campaign and reached the tournament championship game. The Golden Eagles also reached the second round of the WNIT last season.
Tech returns 10 from last season's team – including graduate Jordan Brock, who is returning for her sixth season after missing last year from a knee injury, and redshirt freshman Reagan Hurst, along with eight who saw action in 2021-22.
Fans will be able to get an early look at the Tech women on October 22 as the team hosts its annual Biscuits and Basketball and Maintain the Tradition events at the Eblen Center. More details will be announced soon.
The Golden Eagle women will host Stephens College on October 27 in an exhibition game as part of the Purple Palooza doubleheader event. Tech then opens the regular season on November 7 against Ball State.
Season tickets for Tennessee Tech basketball are on sale now. Call (931) 372-3940, visit the Eblen Center ticket office or visit TTUsports.com to order.
