COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech golf coach Polk Brown put the finishing touches on the team for the upcoming season recently, finalizing the 2015-16 roster with the addition of East Tennessee State transfer Allyson Dunn.

"We are so excited to welcome Allyson to the Tech Women's Golf family," Brown said. "She is an outstanding addition to our program. She has already had great success and we expect that to continue forward as she embarks on her career as a Golden Eagle."

A native of Kingsport, Tenn., Dunn spent the past year as a member of the Buccaneers in Johnson City, participating in all 27 rounds of play as a freshman. She tallied a scoring average of 78.9, posting a single-round best of 74 on three separate occasions.

A four-time letter winner at Sullivan South High School, Dunn took home All-State honors three times while achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA. Named to the All-Conference team four years in a row, she captured two individual conference championships while helping her team to the 2013 state title.

Dunn placed in the top six three times at the TSSAA state tournament, taking home a runner-up finish in 2013. In 2014, she finished fourth at the Tennessee Girls Junior Amateur, firing the only sub-par score of the event with a 70 in the third round. Dunn was the 2013 low junior medalist in the Tennessee Women's Amateur and finished second in the Tennessee PGA Girls Junior Championships.

With three years of eligibility, she will join a Golden Eagle roster that finished third in the 2015 Ohio Valley Conference Championship and returns every member of the 2014-15 squad. Tech also welcomes a signing class of four freshmen, including Arianna Clemmer, Shelby Johnson, Lindsay Miller and Hollee Sadler.

"She's a remarkable, young lady," Polk added, "and we are honored to be able to coach her for the next few years. Her addition to the program, along with the four incoming freshmen and all our returning players, should put us in great position to make a run at the OVC Championship. We can't wait to see how she contributes to our team."
