MOBILE, Ala. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team wrapped up its first tournament of the spring Tuesday afternoon, rounding out the final 18 holes of the USA Women's Invitational hosted by South Alabama.

The Golden Eagles shaved two strokes off its second-round performance, carding a 330 as a team to finish the event in 11^th place overall at Azalea City Golf Course in Mobile, Ala.

Taking the top honors for the Tech squad was Clarksville native Whitney Robertson. The sophomore shook off any rust that may have been present over her first 36 holes, firing a 76 to complete a three-round total of 81+79+76=236. Robertson finished in a tie for 20^th overall.

Next among finishers was junior Megan Williamson. She racked up an 80 on the day to finish tied for 33^rd overall with a final total of 242. Williamson totaled rounds of 83 and 79 on the first day of the event.

Freshman Anna Cunningham fell next in the order of finishers for the Golden Eagles, rounding out an up-and-down tournament with a card of 79+90+85=254. The Cookeville local finished 56^th overall, three places of teammate Haley Davidson, who took 59^th. A sophomore, Davidson collected an 89 for a final tournament score of 89+84+89=262.

Junior Maddi Everts was unable to participate in the final round after withdrawing from the event on Monday due to injury.

The Tech team will receive the next off before returning to the links on March 9 for a two-day tournament in Florida. The Golden Eagles will take part in the UNF Intercollegiate, hosted by North Florida, from March 9-10 before returning to Tennessee to host the third annual Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate.
