Tech women's golf team plays host to Third Annual Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – For the third time in as many years, the Tennessee Tech women's golf team will head to Sevierville, Tenn. to host the annual Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate at the Sevierville Golf Club.

Play will begin on Monday, the 16th, with a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. ET. Day one will feature 18 holes on the Highlands Course and play at a par-71 and 5,803 yards.

Day two will conclude play on Tuesday, the 17th, beginning with a shotgun start, at 8:30 a.m., again on the Highlands Course. The final 18 holes will feature the same par and distance.

The Golden Eagles will look to become the first repeat winner of the event, taking home the inaugural title in 2013.

The field will consist of 10 teams, including:

Belmont
Chicago State
Dayton
Eastern Illinois
Eastern Kentucky
Evansville
Indiana State
Jacksonville State
Murray State
Tennessee Tech

"We've had some good history at this tournament and the girls are very excited to compete and have a chance to take home the hardware at our home event again," head coach Polk Brown said. "I fully expect that the girls will put themselves in a position to win the event at the end. They can't wait and I'm looking forward to seeing them compete."
