COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Ready for its first event in three weeks, the Tennessee Tech women's golf team will return to action Monday morning as the Golden Eagles head east for the Wendy's Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern in Mount Pleasant, S.C.

Beginning with a shotgun start early Monday morning, the Golden Eagles will play 36 holes at the par-72, 5,956-yard Rivertowne Country Club. Play will continue on Tuesday with the final 18 holes also starting with a shotgun start. Here's a look at the participating schools in this year's tournament:

Bethune-Cookman
Charleston Southern
The Citadel
College of Charleston
Longwood
Presbyterian
Tennessee Tech
USC Upstate

Both Whitney Robertson and Lydia Triplett enjoyed success in this event last season, tying for ninth with scores of 225 while leading the Golden Eagles to a fifth place finish.

"The girls have been hard at work since Louisville," head coach Polk Brown said. "The break between that event and this one has been a good opportunity for the team to assess where each of them need to work on their games and prepare for this three-week stretch of events, starting at Rivertowne. We had some solid play at this event last year, and we look to continue that trend this time around. I look forward to see how they respond since our last tournament and expect they put themselves in a position to have solid performance."
