Back to business: Golden Eagles return to links Friday morning for The Colonel Classic

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After nearly three weeks away from competition, the Tennessee Tech women's golf team is ready to get back to business as the Golden Eagles make the familiar trek north for The Colonel Classic beginning Friday morning.

Play will begin with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT on Friday with the first 36 holes of the event on the docket. The final 18 holes will commence with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start on Saturday.

Located at the Arlington Golf Club in Richmond, Ky., the tournament will play at a par of 72, covering 5,824 yards each round. Live scoring will available on GolfStat.com, so fans can follow the Golden Eagles throughout each round.

The field will consist of 12 teams, including:

Austin Peay
Ball State
Bowling Green
Campbellsville
Cleveland State
Cumberlands
Dayton
Eastern Kentucky
IUPUI
Northern Kentucky
Ohio
Tennessee Tech

"The girls have been hard at work these past few week," head coach Polk Brown said, "preparing not only for EKU, but also for the second half of the spring. After a solid finish in Sevierville, we will look to build on that at Arlington. The golf course sets up really well for the girls, and we anticipate a successful showing."
