COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Individual medalist honors at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate proved more than enough for Tennessee Tech women's golfer Maddi Everts to claim her second weekly honor of the year, earning the title of adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Female Golfer of the Week for the second straight week.

Everts fired a 73-71=144 between Monday's and Tuesday's event, fending off Belmont's Mallory Sullivan in a three-hole playoff to claim the first individual medalist honor by a Tech golfer since 2009. The Golden Eagles placed third in the event as the Ooltewah, Tenn. native became the fifth Tech player to win Austin Peay's fall event since 1999.

The OVC's leader in stroke average with a mark of 74.5, Everts became the first golfer in the league (male or female) to claim a second Golfer of the Week honor. It marked the second weekly award of her career.

She claimed her fifth career All-Tournament nod in Clarksville, becoming the first Tech golfer to claim back-to-back All-Tournament honors since 2007 when Diana Carson accomplished the feat in the fall season.

Just one week removed from setting the program record for 54-hole scoring, Everts nearly rewrote the 36-hole mark, tallying the second-lowest total in team history. Her 144 finished just one stroke behind Charry Bevis' 143 back in 2000 at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate. Everts also holds the 18-hole program record score of 67, earning that mark as a sophomore last season at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate.

Tech will look to close out its strong fall season on Monday, Oct. 20 when the squad heads east for the Blue Raider Invitational. The two-day event concludes Tuesday, Oct. 21 and will be hosted by Middle Tennessee at the Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro.
