COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team begins the hunt for its first Ohio Valley Conference title since 1990 Sunday, kicking off up to four days of action at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Leading the league in scoring average headed into the postseason event, the Golden Eagles will compete in 54 holes of stroke play Sunday through Tuesday. The top four teams move on to match play on Wednesday to determine the OVC Champion.

OVC CHAMPIONSHIPS: Apr. 24-27, 2022 – 54 holes stroke-play (18 Sunday, 18 Monday, 18 Tuesday), 18 holes match-play (top four teams on Wednesday), located at the par-72, 7,154-yard Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Play will begin with tee times at 8:00 a.m. CT Sunday. This year's event will include three rounds of stroke play followed by the top four teams advancing to match play on the final day. This is the first time match play has been used to determine the OVC Champion.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Nick Sutton, redshirt freshman Jackson Skeen, senior Bracton Womack, sophomore Mark McDearman, and sophomore Sean Anderson. 

THE COMPETITION: The nine-team field consists of Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Illinois, Morehead State, Murray State, SIUE, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, and UT Martin.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "The guys have had a very successful year, which we look to culminate with a great showing at the conference championships. We have built some great momentum over the last couple of events and look to carry that over at Dalhousie. We are excited for the challenge and opportunity that is presented to us."
