BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the second time this season and third time in his career, Tennessee Tech's Bracton Womack was honored as the Ohio Valley Conference's Male Golfer of Week, as announced by the league Wednesday morning. Womack shared the honor with Morehead State's Zac Viminitz.

The senior paced the purple and gold in its final regular-season tournament of the year, helping the Golden Eagles to a runner-up finish among 13 teams competing at the Big Blue Intercollegiate. It marked the team's third second-place showing of the year.

Womack tied for second individually in a field of 75 competitors, his top finish and first All-Tournament honor of the season. The McMinnville, Tenn. native opened the event at the President's Reserve Course at Hermitage Golf Course with a 2-over 73.

With round two paused due to heavy rain and course flooding, he returned to the course on Tuesday and wrapped up what became the final 18 holes with an even-par 71, totaling 144 for the event. Womack concluded the tournament ranked second overall in total pars, racking up 28 over the 36 holes.

Womack ranks sixth in the OVC in stroke average this year, with a mark of 72.6.

With Womack's selection as the Male Golfer of the Week, the Tennessee Tech squad has seen a Golden Eagle take home the honor in seven of the nine weeks it has competed this year. Nick Sutton has captured the accolade three times, Womack has earned the award twice, and both Chance Taylor and Jackson Skeen have taken home once.
