BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the third time this fall, a Tennessee Tech men's golfer collected the Ohio Valley Conference's weekly honor for Male Golfer of the Week as Bracton Womack earned his first accolades of the 2021-22 season as announced by the league Wednesday morning.

Womack led the Golden Eagles to a tie for third place among 16 teams at the Georgia State Invitational on Tuesday, tying for sixth place individually in a field of 87 players. The McMinnville, Tenn. native fired a trio of sub-par rounds on his way to an overall score of 210, finishing 6-under for the tournament.

After turning in a 1-under 71, Womack delivered a 3-under 69 in the second round of action on Monday. He finished things off with a 2-under 70 on Tuesday, collecting his top score of the season and just missing out on an All-Tournament nod.

The OVC weekly honor marks the second of the senior's career and his first since taking home the award on Mar. 13, 2019. It also marked the first time since 2015-16 that the Tennessee Tech men's golf team collected three weekly accolades from the league in one season.

Tech returns to the links for the final tournament of the fall Monday, Oct. 25. The Golden Eagles will head to Chattanooga for the Battle at Black Creek, hosted by Chattanooga at Black Creek Golf Club.
