COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team will compete in the fall for the first time since 2019 Sunday through Tuesday, kicking off the 2021-22 schedule at the Golfweek Fall Challenge at True Blue Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
GOLFWEEK FALL CHALLENGE: Sept. 12-14, 2021 – 54 holes (18 Sunday, 18 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,926-yard True Blue Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Play will begin Sunday holes of action. Tech will compete in one more round each on Monday and Tuesday to conclude the event.
GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are senior Bracton Womack, sophomore Nick Sutton, junior Bryce Beeler, junior Chance Taylor, and returning freshman Mark McDearman.
THE COMPETITION: The 17-team field consists of CBU, Campbell, Drexel, Evansville, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, LaSalle, Mercer, New Orleans, Presbyterian, St. Thomas-Minnesota, Stephen F. Austin, Temple, Tennessee Tech, USC Upstate, and Wofford.
THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "At long last, fall competition returns to Tennessee Tech golf. We are pumped to get out and compete at a very familiar tournament and venue. The guys have been doing excellent work in their preparation and we look forward to the opportunity that is presented."
