SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf wrapped up the final round of the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon, completing the second half of Monday's second round to put a cap on competition at Twin Oaks Country Club.

With rain and thunderstorms halting play on Monday, the event was shortened to just 36 holes, with the 16 teams in competition all just shy of halfway through their second trip around the course. The Golden Eagles shaved four shots from their first-round total of 298, posting a 294 for a 592 to finish 13th overall.

Oral Roberts took home the team title with a score of 273-280=553, an impressive 15-under for the week. ORU's Dustin Hasley captured individual medalist honors after producing a 7-under 135, including a 66 on Tuesday.

Paving the way for the purple and gold was Jackson Skeen, who followed up his even-par 71 on Monday with a 1-over 72 on Tuesday. The redshirt freshman tied for 17th among the field of 89 golfers, scoring a 143 behind three birdies in the second round.

Next among the Tech lineup was Nick Sutton, carding a 76 in round two to pair with his first-round 72. The sophomore totaled a 148, tying for 47th. One shot back of his teammate was fellow sophomore Mark McDearman, tying for 51st. The youngster trimmed five shots from his 77 on Monday to finish with a 1-over 72 and 149 overall on Tuesday.

Rounding out the Golden Eagle competitors in a tie for 69th were veterans Chance Taylor and Bracton Womack. Both players shot 78s in the first round and followed them up with improved marks of 75 in the second, totaling 153. Both concluded Tuesday with three birdies apiece.

Tech will return to action in two weeks, heading to Tunica National Golf Club in Tunica, Miss. for the Carpenter-Chaney Classic. Play will span Monday, Apr. 4 and Tuesday, Apr. 5.
