COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's basketball team will get to close out its Thanksgiving roadtrip in style Sunday afternoon, taking on Tulane in front of a national audience on ESPN3 in the "Big Easy."

With tip scheduled for a 1 p.m. CT start in New Orleans, the Golden Eagles will look to bounce back after falling to Southeastern Louisiana on Wednesday evening in Hammond, La. Tulane will play its second game in three days, having defeated Southeastern on Friday night, 71-61.

The contest marks the second for the Golden Eagles on national television this season after playing against USC on the Pac-12 Network on Nov. 17.

The lone match-up between the Golden Eagles and Green Wave came back on Dec. 8, 1989 when the two programs squared off in the Citizens Bank Classic in Jonesboro, Ark.

Tulane eaked out a 93-91 win in overtime, preventing the Tech squad from taking home the trophy for the event. The Golden Eagles finished 19-9 overall in the 1989-90 season and defeated Mississippi Valley State the next day in the final game of the tournament.

Season tickets that will allow fans to enjoy the entire Golden Eagle home basketball schedule are on sale, with a variety of ticket options to choose from. Fans may purchase their tickets online (TTUsports.com), in person at the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center, or on the telephone (931-372-3940).

SETTING THE STAGE
Tulane come into the match-up on a four-game win streak, having defeated Mississippi Valley State, SUNO, Southern and Southeastern Louisiana after dropping its regular season opener to Wake Forest. The Green Wave have yet to play a game on the road and will enjoy playing seven of their first eight contests in their home arena.

Louis Dabney leads the squad in scoring, averaging 13.4 points per game while hitting on nearly 49 percent of his shots from the floor, including an impressive nine-of-18 from 3-point range. He also leads the team with just under three steals per game.

Jay Hook also averages double-digit points, dropping 12 per game to go along with a free throw shooting percentage of 87.5. Jonathan Stark leads the team with nearly four assists per game and 9.6 points per game.

On the flip side, Tech enters the contest for its third road game of the year and second in a row. The Golden Eagles boast three double-digit scorers so far this season in center Charles Jackson, big man Dwan Caldwell and guard Josiah Moore.

Jackson, who became the first Tech player to record a double-double in his first five career games in over 30 years, leads the squad in both scoring (13.4 ppg), rebounding (11.2 rpg) blocks (2.0 bpg) and field goal percentage (.587).

Caldwell scores 12.4 points per game and pulls in 5.2 boards as well. Moore does a little bit of everything, averaging 10.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Junior guard Torrance Rowe tacks on 9.4 points per game and just under three assists.
