COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – In what marks the last chance for fans to watch the Tennessee Tech men's basketball team on its home court for over three weeks, the Golden Eagles will play host to Hiwassee College Sunday afternoon.

With tip scheduled for a 2 p.m. CT start, Tech enters the contest after earning an impressive home victory over in-state rival Lipscomb Wednesday evening, defeating the Bisons 84-79. The win improved the Golden Eagles' record to 4-3 for the season and 4-0 in the Eblen Center.

Hiwassee, which visits Cookeville for the second time in five years, enters a match-up on Saturday at Dalton State at 1-10 on the year, seeing its lone victory come over Crown College on Nov. 24.

Season tickets that will allow fans to enjoy the entire Golden Eagle home basketball schedule are on sale, with a variety of ticket options to choose from. Fans may purchase their tickets online (TTUsports.com), in person at the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center, or on the telephone (931-372-3940).

The contest against the Tigers will serve as the first of four games this season that a Tennessee Tech Basketball season ticket holder can come by the ticket window and sign for four additional "Holiday Guest" tickets. Doors at the Eblen Center, along with the ticket office, will open at approximately 1 p.m. on Sunday.

SETTING THE STAGE
The two programs met back in 2010, a huge 113-42 victory for the Golden Eagles that at the time marked the second largest margin of victory in program history at 71 points. Tech is 3-0 all-time against the Tigers, meeting twice back in the 1929-30 season and once in 2010.

The meeting will mark the third of 11 contests against in-state competition for the Golden Eagles this season and the third different in-state opponent out of nine total. Seven of the 11 contests take place in the Eblen Center with this game marking the third.

The Golden Eagles will hit the road for nearly three weeks with four straight road contests before a return home on Monday, Dec. 29 against UNF.
