COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – For the third consecutive week, at least one member of the Tennessee Tech men's basketball was recognized by the Ohio Valley Conference for his play on the court as Charles Jackson and Aleksa Jugovic each took home honors Monday afternoon.

For Jackson, it marked his second straight adidas® OVC Newcomer of the Week honor after the big man took home the award last week. In three games the big man averaged 15.3 points and 10.7 rebounds, notching his fourth, fifth and sixth straight double-doubles along the way.

A native of Sacramento, Jackson is the first Tech player in over 30 years to tally six consecutive double-doubles to open his career, let alone a season. He currently leads the OVC in rebounding, including both offensive and defensive categories.

Jugovic, a native of Leskovac, Serbia, earned adidas® OVC co-Freshman of the Week accolades for the first time of his career after playing a key role off the bench for the Golden Eagles.

In three contests the true freshman averaged 8.7 points, just under two rebounds, an assist and a steal while shooting an impressive 67 percent from the field and 55 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

He notched a career-high 14 points after hitting on four-of-six 3-point attempts against Southeastern Louisiana.

The Golden Eagles will return to the hardwood Wednesday when they play host to in-state rival Lipscomb. Tip is set for a 6 p.m. CT start in the Eblen Center.
