CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Freshman Hollee Sadler posted her first career all-tournament finish and Tennessee Tech earned three Top 10 individual finishes as the Golden Eagle women's golf team captured third place in a challenging eight-team field in the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate at the Clarksville Country Club.

The Golden Eagles were consistent, firing off identical rounds of 313 on Monday and Tuesday, narrowly missing second place by a single stroke to first-day leader Lipscomb University. The Bison shot a 305-320 to finish at 626, one stroke ahead of Tech's 626 total.

Host Austin Peay closed with a 306 Tuesday following a 313 on Monday that had the Lady Govs tied for second with Tech. APSU posted a 619 to win the team crown, led by individual medalist Jessica Cathey's 74-71=145.

Sadler found a way to slice a couple of strokes off her first day 78, shooting a 76 Tuesday to finish in a tie for fourth place with a 154 total. Allyson Dunn followed her Monday round of 76 with a 79 Tuesday, and finished in a tie for seventh place with teammate Maddi Everts at 155. Everts carded rounds of 78 and 77.

Whitney Robertson was next for the Golden Eagles, carding rounds of 82 and 81 for a 36-hole 163, placing her in 25th. The Tech lineup was completed by Megan Williamson with an 81-86—167 for a tie for 32nd place.

One more Golden Eagle in the field was Lindsay Miller competing in the tourney as an individual. Her scores were 80-91 for a 171 to place her 40th.

Two OVC schools trailed Tech in the standings, with Belmont placing fourth at 631, and Murray State in fifth place at 647. The remainder of the tourney standings included USC Upstate (662), Cumberland (676) and Tennessee State (699).

The Tech women will be right back in action next week, playing Monday and Tuesday at Middle Tennessee State's Blue Raider Invitational at the Stones River Country Club in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
