CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Coming off a record performance at the Fall Invitational last week, the Tennessee Tech women's golf team kept riding that momentum into the first day of play at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate Monday afternoon, tying for second place after 18 holes.

The Golden Eagles combined to shoot a 313, tying with host Austin Peay with just 18 holes left to play. In-state rival Lipscomb led the tournament with a 305, thanks to the individual leader Samantha Griffith, who posted a 73.

Leading Tech on day one of action at Clarksville Country Club was ETSU transfer Allyson Dunn. The sophomore carded 4-over 76 through the first 18 holes, tying for fifth overall. Not far behind were both Maddi Everts and Hollee Sadler, who tied each other for 11th place overall with matching 78s.

Tied for 25th after the first 18 holes was senior Megan Williamson. She collected an 81 in the tough playing conditions. Rounding out the starting five for Tech was junior Whitney Robertson, who tied for 28th after carding an 82.

Competing as an individual, true freshman Lindsay Miller made her collegiate debut, tying for 23rd place after posting a round of 80.

The F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate will conclude Tuesday morning, kicking off with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
