MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Day two at the GolfWeek Program Challenge had a similar feel to the first day of action for the Tennessee Tech women's golf team. The Golden Eagles fired off its second straight score of 306 Monday afternoon, taking sole possession of 10th place with one round to play.

The second-round total for Tech also allowed the team to move into second place among the four Ohio Valley Conference programs participating in the week's event, jumping two spots over Jacksonville State and three above Austin Peay. Just Morehead State ranked higher than the Golden Eagles, moving into second place in the 18-team field.

Junior Whitney Robertson found a groove at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in the afternoon, particularly over her final nine holes. After notching three bogeys on the back nine, the Clarksville native birdied the par-4 No. 1 hole and posted just one more square on the scorecard the rest of the way, finishing the second day of play with a 3-over 74 to move into a tie for 18th overall.

Finishing second on the day for the Tech squad, senior Maddi Everts continued her solid showing at the event with a 6-over 77. She stayed ranked in the top half of the field – thanks to two birdies on the day – ranking in a tie for 28th.

A transfer from East Tennessee State, sophomore Allyson Dunn finished up right behind Everts, carding a 78 with an impressive birdie on the par-3 No. 6 hole. She ended the day in a tie for 33rd overall. Fellow newcomer Hollee Sadler shaved four strokes off her first career collegiate round, wrapping up her second day of the tournament with a 6-over 77.

Rounding out Tech's participants, junior Lydia Triplett also improved in her second round of action. After completing day one with an 83, she trimmed two strokes off her second go at the course, finishing with an 81 on Monday.

The Golden Eagles will conclude play at the GolfWeek Program Challenge Tuesday morning. Triplett will kick off the final day of action on the par-5 No. 10 hole at approximately 6:30 a.m. CT.
