KENNESAW, Ga. – The final round of the Pinetree Women's Collegiate came to a close for the Tennessee Tech women's golf team, as the Golden Eagles secured a top-10 finish while competing at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Ga. Tuesday afternoon.

Turning in their best collective round of the week, the Golden Eagles finalized a 941 with a 312 in round three to place eighth in the 11-team field. UIW posted its third-straight even-par 288 of the event to take home the title with an 864, led by individual medalist Alex Giles and her 11-under 205.

For the purple and gold, it was rookie Kaydi Rhodes pacing the effort with a 77 on the day, completing the two-day tournament tied for 32 among 66 golfers. The freshman rounded out the week with a 231 overall after posting a birdie and 11 pars on the day.

Ainsley Simms tied for 42nd on the leaderboard behind a final score of 235, completing her final round of play with a 78, one birdie, and 12 pars. Senior Katrine Toennessen was next to place for the Golden Eagles, tying for 49th with a 240. The veteran made one birdie while delivering an 80 on Tuesday.

Finishing just one stroke back of her twin sister, Elisabeth Toennessen capped her week with a 241 to finish 51st. The senior carded an 82 with one birdie. Producing her best round of the week to leap forward into a tie for 53rd, sophomore Reagan Stuke locked down 13 pars for a 77 and composite score of 246.

Tech will wrap up its regular season slate next week, traveling to Macon, Ga. for Mercer's Brickyard Collegiate. The event will take place at Brickyard Golf Club on Monday, Apr. 10 and Tuesday, Apr. 11.
