SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team wrapped up its fourth tournament of the fall campaign Tuesday afternoon, completing the final round of action at the Carolina Country Club as part of the Terrier Intercollegiate. 

The purple and gold ended the event with a final round of 324, finishing 14th among the 17 teams in competition with a 952. USC Upstate climbed the leaderboard to win the tournament, slashing a 297 for the third round and a 908 total. Spartan Praew Nontarux led the effort with medalist honors and a final score of 217. 

For the Golden Eagles, it was senior Elisabeth Toennesseen delivering the top spot with a 77 on day two of play, finishing with a 231. A birdie and 13 pars helped the Grimstad, Norway native tie for 20th overall in the field of 90 golfers.

Gathering a birdie of her own as part of a 79 was Ainsley Simms, finishing the week with a 234. The junior capped off the event by tying for 33rd with teammate Gittle Sciolis. The senior shot an 81 with 12 pars to finish off her week. 

One shot back with a 155 was junior Ainsley Simms, tying for 31st overall. After recording a birdie on her way to an 81 in the first round, Simms bounced back in the second with a 74 on a whopping 16 pars.

Senior Makenzie Morton tied for 75th with an 87 as part of a 253 overall. Sophomore Reagan Stuke finished in a tie for 79th after totaling 258 with a round of 90. 

Tech closes out the fall season with a trip to Arden, N.C. for UNC Asheville's French Broad Collegiate. The event will take place at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove on Sunday, Nov. 6 and Monday, Nov. 7.
