COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With the fall approaching quickly, Tennessee Tech head women's golf coach Amanda Smith officially released the team's 2022-23 schedule Thursday, focusing on a fall mixed with events both new and memorable.

For the fifth time in the past 11 seasons, and second straight year, the Golden Eagles will compete at the Golfweek Fall Challenge, kicking off the 2022 fall slate at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawley's Island, S.C. Spanning Sept. 11-13, Golfweek's three-day event will once again feature one of the largest fields the Golden Eagles will see all year.

Also matching up with last year's schedule, Tech's second event of the season is a return trip to the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate hosted by Austin Peay. Returning to Clarksville Country Club in Clarksville, Tenn. after a brief change of venue last year, the event will be held Sept. 26-27. The purple and gold have a treasured past at the tournament, producing top-four finishes in three of the past four times it has competed.

New to the Golden Eagle slate is a visit to Greenville Country Club for the Pirate Collegiate Classic from Oct. 10-11. Hosted by East Carolina in Greenville, S.C., Tech will look to de-thrown the Pirates, who won their own event last season by 10 strokes over Towson.

One final repeat journey remains on the docket for the fall, with an Oct. 24-25 visit to Spartanburg, S.C. for the Terrier Intercollegiate. Wofford will once again host the event at Carolina Country Club, with Tech making the trip for the third time since 2017 and second year in a row.

The purple and gold's final tournament for the semester represents another new trip, this one a visit to Arden, N.C. for the French Broad Collegiate. UNC Asheville will play host to the event at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove from Nov. 6-7, putting a wrap on Tech's fall season.

"We continue to join in on great venues and events for our players to test their skills," Smith explained. "It's great to have the opportunity to travel to a variety of different courses early on. Playing our first event at Caledonia is such a treat for our ladies as well. We only intend to progress as the season takes over, so getting in some competitive fields will only help us build on our games."

Tech's spring slate will feature five events as well, including the Ohio Valley Conference Championships which return to Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail's Fighting Joe Course at The Shoals in Muscle Shoals, Ala. Smith and the Golden Eagles will release more details on the 2023 spring schedule following the fall season.
