KENNESAW, Ga. – Not one, but two rounds are in the books for the Tennessee Tech women's golf team at the Pinetree Women's Collegiate, as the Golden Eagles completed the opening 36 holes at Pinetree Country Club Monday evening. 

The purple and gold wrapped up the first of two days of action eighth among the 11 teams in competition, posting rounds of 316 and 313 for a composite 629. The University of Incarnate Word paced the field by a healthy eight strokes, producing back-to-back scores of 288 for a 576. UIW's Alex Giles led all individuals through the opening two rounds, turning in back-to-back 68s to sit 8-under with a 136.

Topping the leaderboard for the purple and gold in a tie for 29th among 66 golfers was Kaydi Rhodes, posting a 154 overall. The freshman carded rounds of 78 and 76 while compiling three birdies on the day.

Next among the Golden Eagle participants was Ainsley Simms, turning in a 157 with scores of 76 and 81. The junior picked up a pair of birdies while tying for 34th. Veteran Elisabeth Toennessen rebounded from an 83 in the first round to post a 76 in round two, tying for 44th with 159 and three birdies.

Senior Katrine Toennessen finished one shot back of her twin sister, recording a 160 after posting rounds of 79 and 81. She tied for 48th while recording 23 pars on the day. Rounding out the Tech crew, sophomore Reagan Stuke tied for 59th with scores of 89 and 80 for a 169.

Tech will kick off Tuesday's final round with a shotgun start beginning at 8:00 a.m. CT.
