COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Five challenging events await the Tennessee Tech women's golf team in the coming months, as the Golden Eagles announced their 2022-23 spring schedule.

The purple and gold will begin the spring campaign with a trek to Corpus Christi, Texas for the Islander Classic. Hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the Corpus Christi Country Club, the first-time event for the Golden Eagles will feature play on Monday, Feb. 20 and Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Following nearly three weeks off from action, Tech makes its return to Sevierville, Tenn. to host the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate for the 10th time in 11 years. Running from Sunday, Mar. 12 through Tuesday, Mar. 14, the event will once again take place on the Highlands Course of Sevierville Golf Club.

Kicking off a trio of tournaments in April, the Golden Eagles will take part in Kennesaw State's Pinetree Women's Collegiate from Monday, Apr. 3 through Tuesday, Apr. 4. Teams will compete at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Ga.

Another new venue awaits the purple and gold for the spring, a trip to the Brickyard Golf Club in Macon, Ga. The Golden Eagles will compete at Mercer's Brickyard Collegiate from Monday, Apr. 10 through Tuesday, Apr. 11.

Tech concludes the year at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships, taking place at the Fighting Joe Course at The Shoals, part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The league's annual event will cover Sunday, Apr. 16 through Tuesday, Apr. 18 in Muscle Shoals, Ala.

"It's an incredible opportunity to fly out to Corpus Christi for our first event of the spring season," Tech head coach Amanda Smith said. "Over the course of the next few months, our main priority is to maintain progress and be clear about where we stand competitively as a team. The true test will be our last few events leading into Conference, which are at some dynamic golf courses with an abundance of great players. I'm excited to see how this team takes on the challenge."
