COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Due to heavy rain and lightning in the Cookeville area, Friday's Ohio Valley Conference baseball game between Tennessee Tech and UT Martin was suspended in the bottom of the seventh inning. The contest was halted with two outs in the frame and a runner on first base for the Golden Eagles.
At the time of suspension, Tech held a 12-6 lead on the scoreboard. The contest will be resumed and completed at 2:00 p.m. CT Saturday afternoon. Game two of the weekend series will follow the completion of the series opener on Saturday.
Both the completion of Friday's tilt and the entirety of Saturday's second contest will be streamed on ESPN+, as will Sunday's game three. Dylan Vazzano will continue to provide coverage of the weekend series.
All contests at Quillen Field and Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex are free of charge and open to the public.
Further schedule updates will be available online at TTUSports.com and @tntech_baseball and @TTUGoldenEagles on Twitter.
