OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. – Tennessee Tech junior women's golfer Allyson Dunn took home her first career All-Ohio Valley Conference honors Monday evening at the conference's annual awards ceremony at the league's championship tournament in Owens Cross Roads, Ala.

Just a year after earning All-Tournament honors at the OVC Championships in her first season as a Golden Eagle – the then-sophomore transferred in from East Tennessee State for the 2015-16 season – Dunn led the Golden Eagles in scoring average with a mark of 76.44. It ranked as the third lowest season average in program history.

Throughout the year, the junior posted three top five finishes, earning All-Tournament nods in each of them. She tied for third overall in the Chris Bannister Fall Classic, Tech's second event of the year. She then rounded out the regular season by tying for second place at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate and placing fourth at the EKU Colonel Classic.

In the third round of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate, Dunn fired a career-low score of 4-under 68, the second lowest single round total in program history. She also tied her career-best 54-hole score of 220 in the event.

After completing round one of the OVC Championships Monday, the second round is set for a 8:00 a.m. CT start Tuesday morning at The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Hampton Cove.
