COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team announced the addition of three players for the 2017-18 athletic season, adding to a roster that will see the departure of three senior members following the spring season.

"This represents a unique class for us," head coach Polk Brown said. " This is the first time in quite awhile that we've brought in a couple of women from out-of-state, with Kate Mashburn from Calhoun, Ga. and Isabel York from Cincinnati, Ohio. We kind of have someone north of here and south of here, as well as an in-state signee in Hannah Bratton. We're looking for all three women to come in and contribute. It'll be an exciting time next fall when we get them all here."

The Golden Eagle team will look to replace three senior members that have combined for over 225 rounds with a semester still left in the books. All three signees figure to make an impact on the 2017-18 roster that already boasts significant depth and will feature just one senior member.

Here's a look at the signees for the 2017-18 season:

HANNAH BRATTON
Hometown:
 Jackson, Tenn.
High School: Trinity Christian HS

Bratton was a three-sport letterwinner at Trinity Christian High School, playing golf, basketball and softball. The Jackson, Tenn. native racked up numerous honors and achievements throughout her career, including a second-place showing at the TSSAA A-AA State Championships. She was the District 15A Champion three times in her career and twice won the Region 8A championship.

She finished as medalist 16 times on the Sneds Tour and also took home individual championships in the 2015 West Tennessee FCA Invitational and the 2016 Lady Trojan Invitational. Bratton was a Jackson Sun Girls Golf All West Tennessee First Team selection in both 2014 and 2015 and finished in the top-10 of the AJGA twice in her career.

COACH BROWN'S TAKE
"Hannah is our only in-state signee this year, coming to us from west Tennessee. She placed second in the state tournament this past year, which says a lot about her and what she's capable of doing. She will also be looked upon to contribute when she arrives."

KATE MASHBURN
Hometown:
 Calhoun, Ga.
High School: Calhoun HS

Mashburn has earned three varsity letters as a member of the Calhoun High School golf team, with a fourth on the way in the spring. Through three years, the Calhoun, Ga. native has led her team to two Region Championships (in 2014 and 2015) as well as AAA State titles in 2015 and 2016. For her efforts, the CHS team captain took home AAA Player of the Year honors as well as a spot on the AAA All-State Team.

Named the Southern Junior Golf Tour Player of the Year, she took home medalist honors at the Nob North Golf Club GSGA Junior Sectional as well as the Carrollton Invitational. Mashburn has posted six runner-up finishes over the past year between junior tournaments and team play, as well as six additional top-five finishes. She placed third at the 2016 SJGT Tour Championship.

COACH BROWN'S TAKE
"We were very fortunate to find Kate this past summer. She has a tremendous amount of upside to her. She's very even-keeled on the golf course and handles herself very well. We feel like she will come in and contribute right away with the departure of three seniors."

ISABEL YORK
Hometown:
 Cincinnati, Ohio
High School: Saint Ursula Academy

York racked up numerous honors and awards in her time playing at Saint Ursula Academy, including garner All-League First Team honors in the Girls Greater Catholic League in both 2015 and 2016. As a junior she took home Cincinnati Enquirer Second-Team Fall All-Star honors. York earned second-place finishes at the PGA Tour Championship, PGA Tour event at Pipestone and GolfWeek North Star event, as well as a third-place showing at the PGA event at Hamilton Elks.

COACH BROWN'S TAKE
"Isabel is very similar to Kate in that she has a serious amount of potential coming into college. She's had a good amount of success in high school and we are also looking for here to come in and make an instant impact on the team."
