GADSDEN, Ala. - Round two of the Chris Bannister Fall Classic proved productive for the Tennessee Tech women's golf team, as the Golden Eagles dropped eight strokes off their first round total to jump into a tie for third place in the nine-team field.

Tech bounced back from a first-round mark of 311 and ranking of fifth place to shoot a 303 over the second 18 holes, led by a second strong performance from junior Allyson Dunn. After firing a 3-over 75 on day one at Silver Lakes Golf Course, Dunn posted an even-round of 72 for a 147 overall score to finish the day in third place among the 51 participants.

Sophomore Hollee Sadler also shaved three strokes off her first round score, dropping from a 78 to a 3-over 75 to come in at 153 overall. She wrapped up the second day of action in a tie with teammate Whitney Robertson for 14th place. Robertson, a senior, notched a 77 after a first-round 76.

Next among the Tech participants was senior Lydia Triplett, who joined the club of Golden Eagles dropping three strokes from their scorecard with a second-round 79 after carding an 82 on Sunday.

Redshirt freshman Arianna Clemmer showed a three-stroke improvement from her first collegiate round as well, tallying an 80.

The Golden Eagles finished the day with the second lowest round of the day, trailing only tournament leader Murray State Monday afternoon.

"The women played very solid today," head coach Polk Brown said. "They have a great chance for a fantastic finish tomorrow and I know they are looking forward to the challenge."
