GERMANTOWN, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team closed out its fall season with a solid showing at the Memphis Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon, tying for sixth place among the 13-team field at Ridgeway Country Club.

Following Monday rounds of 306 and 307, the Golden Eagles put together a 309 on the final day of play, finishing with a 922 overall and tying with Cal State Fullerton for sixth place. Host Memphis took home the top spot by a comfortable 17 strokes over Houston Baptist, posting a total score of 895. Playing in just her third career event, redshirt freshman Arianna Clemmer turned in her best performance yet, finishing in a tie for 19th after destroying her previous career-low score by 11 strokes. The rookie carded a 73-78-79=230, finishing just on shot back of Sadler for the team's top spot.

Next among the Tech five was junior Allyson Dunn, who completed the third round with a 79 to tie for 33rd overall. Along with rounds of 78 and 76 from Monday, Dunn finished with a 233 total. Senior Whitney Robertson turned in her best round of the event Tuesday, marking a 76 on her card to finish with a 238 after scores of 84 and 78 on Monday.

Rounding out the Golden Eagle starters was senior Lydia Triplett. The veteran wrapped up the tournament with a 76-78-89=243 in her fourth event of the season.

"Although we didn't finish as strong as we had hoped, the women had a great fall," head coach Polk Brown said. "We are looking forward to a little downtime before we begin preparations for the spring. Our tournament at Kiawah will be here before we know it."
