GADSDEN, Ala. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team broke away from Samford and took sole possession of third place at the conclusion of the Chris Bannister Fall Classic Tuesday afternoon, finishing the event with an overall score of 928.

Rounding out three rounds in three days at Silver Lakes Golf Course, the Golden Eagles received a fantastic showing from junior Allyson Dunn to nab its first top-five finish of the year, posting rounds of 311, 303 and 314 for the third-place finish.

Dunn collected her first All-Tournament nods of the year after tying for third among the 51 participants at the event. She turned in a card of 75-72-74=221, falling just one stroke shy of her career-best showing in a 54-hole event.

Team champion Murray State was led by individual champion Moa Folke, who finished 1-under at 215 for the event. UAB followed, with Sydney Snodgrass taking second place with a score of 220.

Ranking second for the Golden Eagles, senior Whitney Robertson closed out Tuesday with an 81 for an overall total of 234 to finish tied for 15th. Just one stroke behind her, sophomore Hollee Sadler collected a 235 with rounds of 78, 75 and 82 to tie for 20th.

Redshirt freshman Arianna Clemmer wrapped up her first career event on a high note, saving her best round of the week for last with a 78 on Tuesday. She finished in 31st after posting an 83-80-78=241. Senior Lydia Triplett rounded out the competitors for Tech, posting a 242 on rounds of 82, 79 and 81.

"That was a solid finish by the women today," head coach Polk Brown said. "We struggled a bit coming down the final three or four holes, but by and large, it was a good finish at the event. Allyson played especially well, tying for third and helping out in the team effort. We're looking forward to getting back after it in Greensboro next week."

The Golden Eagles will get right back to action next week, heading to Greensboro, N.C. for the two-day Starmount Fall Classic from Oct. 3-4 at Starmount Forest Country Club.
