COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team returns to the links in a rare Friday-Saturday tournament, heading north for the EKU Colonel Classic at the University Club at Arlington from Mar. 31 through Apr. 1.

EKU COLONEL CLASSIC: 54 holes (36 Friday, 18 Saturday), located at par-72, 5,889-yard University Club at Arlington in Richmond, Ky. Teams will kick off with a 7:30 a.m. CT shotgun start on Friday and 8:00 a.m. shotgun start on Saturday.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are junior Allyson Dunn, senior Whitney Robertson, senior Lydia Triplett, sophomore Hollee Sadler, redshirt freshman Shelby Johnson and, as an individual, senior Haley Davidson.

THE COMPETITION: The 13-team field consists of host Eastern Kentucky, as well as Austin Peay, Ball State, Belmont, Cleveland State, University of the Cumberlands, Dayton, Louisiana-Monroe, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee Tech and Youngstown State.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH BROWN: "We're excited to go back to Richmond, where we've played quite a bit in the past and get to play with Eastern Kentucky for the first time this year. The tournament has a really good field on a great course where we've had success in the past. We're looking forward to getting up there and playing some solid golf before we get ready for conference. We had a really strong finish at the BNI and we're hoping to string that success along to Richmond and then Hampton Cove."

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The Golden Eagles will look to continue its momentum after a second-place showing at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. Junior Allyson Dunn enters play in Richmond coming off a runner-up finish in Tech's most recent event, posting a single-round, career-low, 3-under 68 in the final round. She also tied her career-low 54-hole score of 220. The EKU Colonel Classic represents the final tune-up for the Tech squad before heading south for the Ohio Valley Conference Championships April 17-19.
