This is the 91st match up between these two in-state foes, dating back to 1970. The Golden Eagles hold a 72-18 all-time advantage over APSU. Over the last 10 meetings, Tech holds a 6-4 advantage, despite a 79-70 loss last season in Clarksville.

Last season, senior Candace Parson recorded a double-double against the Lady Govs, putting in 14 points, and grabbing 10 boards.  Senior T'Keyah Williams played in 19 minutes before going down with an ACL injury, which she has recuperated from in time for the 2014-15 season.

APSU saw four players score in double figures, including two reach the 20-point mark. Kristen Stainback and Taisha Gray each scored 20 against the Golden Eagles last season, while Tearra Banks recorded 13, and Nicole Olszewski added 10.

This season, the Lady Govs are led by Gray, who is averaging 19.5 points, 6.2 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game. Banks follows with 13.3 points, while Stainback is averaging 12.9.

APSU is scoring 70.2 points per game, while committing just 14.9 turnovers per game. The Lady Govs are just 2-6 on the road, but their two wins have come in conference play at Eastern Kentucky and Jacksonville State.  Against Jacksonville State, Gray posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Brianne Alexander added 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles are coming off of a 74-69 win over Murray State where Samaria Howard had 18 points. Hannah Goolsby followed with 13 points, a career-best six assists and five rebounds. Shunice Tionne Herron had a great all-around performance, scoring a season-high seven points, grabbing a career-best six rebounds, dishing out two assists, while committing no turnovers.

Howard is leading TTU with 14.4 points per game this season, while Parson follows with 11.6. Parson adds 5.6 rebounds, while Howard adds five. Goolsby has been impressive from deep as of late, increasing her season three-point field goal percentage to 33.3-percent, good enough for 13th in the conference.
