COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team continues the 2024 spring campaign in Pawley's Island, S.C., competing in the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club Monday through Wednesday.
GOLFWEEK/AGT INTERCOLLEGIATE: Apr. 1-3, 2024 – 54 holes (18 Monday, 18 Tuesday, 18 Wednesday), located at the par-71, 6,026-yard Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawley's Island, S.C.
GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are freshman Chloe Griffith, senior Ainsley Simms, sophomore Kaydi Rhodes, freshman Lexus Julian, and senior Gittle Sciolis. Competing as an individual is sophomore Sydney Branson.
THE COMPETITION: The 19-team field consists of Akron, Austin Peay, Cal Poly, Coastal Carolina, Evansville, Fairleigh Dickinson, Florida Atlantic, FGCU, Georgetown, High Point, Marshall, North Dakota State, Ohio, St. Thomas, Tennessee Tech, UIC, UNC Asheville, USC Upstate, and Winthrop.
THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH AMANDA SMITH: "It's always great to get the chance to play down at Pawley's Island in this well-run Golfweek event. We usually go in the fall so it will be a treat getting to see it in our spring season right before conference. This course sets up really well for success so we will take advantage of the opportunity to get better and score well."
