GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team capped off the final two rounds of competition at the UNCG Collegiate Tuesday, rounding out play at the Grandover Resort West Course in Greensboro, N.C.

The purple and gold finished 11 among the 19 teams in the field, improving each round with scores of 309, 305, and 303 for a 917. High Point took the tournament crown by firing a 6-under 858 for the week. It was the Panthers' Anna Howerton claiming individual medalist honors, unloading for a 15-under 201.

Leading the Golden Eagles in Greensboro was freshman Chloe Griffith with her second straight top-10 finish. The rookie tied for eighth after carding a 1-under 71 with four birdies in round two and a 1-over 73 with four more birdies in round three for a 218 overall.

Tying for 24th was veteran Ainsley Simms after concluding the event with a 223. The senior recorded two birdies for a 77 in the second round before following it up with an even-par 72, two more birdies, and 14 pars.

Next among the Golden Eagle participants was senior Gittle Sciolis and her 234. Tying for 62nd overall, the veteran posted two birdies with a 77 and a 76 with four more birdies to wrap up the day.

Junior Reagan Stuke completed the week with a 243, producing an 80 and 83 down the stretch with two total birdies. Rounding out the lineup for the purple and gold, freshman Lexus Julian tallied an 86 with a birdie and an 82 to total a 252 overall.

Tech will wrap up its fall slate in two weeks, traveling a bit further south to Spartanburg, S.C. for the Terrier Intercollegiate. The Golden Eagles will compete at The Carolina Country Club Monday, Oct. 23 through Tuesday, Oct. 24.
