COOKEVILLE -- Tennessee Tech's men’s and women’s golf schedules have been announced for the fall season of this coming athletic calendar year.

Brandy Stout’s women’s team will compete in five matches on the road between September and November, including the fall season finale where UAB hosts its annual Beach Bash at Gulf Shores, Alabama Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. The event will be a 36-hole tourney played Monday and Tuesday with a practice day scheduled for Sunday.

“We are anxious to get the season rolling,” said Stout. “We have a lot of great tournaments this fall, not to mention a young and very talented team.”

The women’s team will open the season on Sept. 12-14 with the Drake Creek Invitational hosted by Murray State. Following Drake Creek, the ladies will attend the Great Smokies Invitational in Waynesville, N.C., hosted by Western Carolina, Sept. 17-19.

The Tech women will then tee off in Jonesboro, Ark., for the Arkansas State Invitational on October 10-11, and see a quick turnaround for the Austin Peay Invitational, Oct. 17-19.

Pineville, Ky., marks the site of the season opener for the men’s team, as Craig King will take his players to the Wasioto Winds Fall Intercollegiate for the only September match of the year. It's scheduled for Sept. 13-14.

“We are getting started this fall a couple of weeks earlier with the first event, hosted by Morehead State,” said King. “It’s a new one for me and most of this year’s team, but everyone has been playing well this summer and wants to continue the momentum.”

The team will then kick off a demanding month of October with three straight weeks of play, starting with the Murray State Invitational, Oct. 4-5.

The men will also attend the UT Martin Skyhawk Classic, Oct. 11-12, and a take a trip to Clarksville, Tenn., for the Austin Peay Invitational, Oct. 18-19, to cap off the season.
