GLENCOE, Ala. -- The weather has not been kind to Tennessee Tech's athletic teams the past few days with numerous events canceled. The Golden Eagle men's golf team is hoping to catch a break in the recent rainy streak long enough to compete Monday and Tuesday in a tourney hosted by Jacksonville State.

Coach Craig King's team joins a field of a dozen other schools a the Silver Lakes Golf Course, where host JSU is favored to repeat as tourney winner in the Grub Mart Invitational. The teams are slated to play 36 holes Monday and the final round on Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles are led by junior Tyler Cassetty, who is fresh off a second place finish last week at the Grover Page Classic hosted by UT Martin. Cassetty, who owns a team-best 73.2 average this season, was tied for the tourney lead through the first two rounds before slipping two shots off the pace for his first all-tournament finish of the year.

Each day's results will be posted on TTUsports.com when they become available.
