MURRAY, Ky. – After a victorious return to Cookeville Thursday night following a 66-61 victory over Austin Peay, the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team will load up the bus once again on Saturday as the Golden Eagles continue their three-game road trip with a visit to Murray State.

Tipoff on Saturday at the CFSB Center is slated for 4:30 p.m. Roger Ealey will provide the call on 106.1 The Eagle, while the game will also be streamed on ESPN+ (subscription required) with Jeremy Rose providing the call.

Murray State enters the contest with a 7-6 record, 4-4 in the Ohio Valley, but the last two games for the Racers are big wins. First, the Racers knocked off Belmont 72-66 – the program's first win over the Bruins since Belmont joined the OVC in the 2012-13 season and only Belmont's second OVC loss at home (Tech defeating the Bruins in the 2018-19 campaign at the Curb Event Center is the other).

On Thursday night, Murray State topped Jacksonville State 67-60 to hand the Gamecocks their second OVC defeat of the season. A 68-66 loss to the Golden Eagles back on December 13 stands as the other.

Junior guard Macey Turley leads the Racers with a 16.4-point per game average, while 6-1 freshman Katelyn Young is averaging a double-double a night with 14.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Murray State can score, averaging 71.4 points per contest, and the Racers are also tough to beat at home, posting a 4-1 record at the CFSB Center this season.

As a team, Murray State is shooting .410 from the floor, including .299 from 3-point range, as well as .759 from the line. Turley and Young also provide solid defense with the duo collecting 40 of the team's 89 steals. Turley also leads the team in assists with 45, while Young has 131 total rebounds – 39 offensive and 92 defensive.

Meanwhile, the Golden Eagles are also coming off back-to-back wins, heading to Kentucky with a 6-4 record overall, 4-3 in the Ohio Valley. Success on the road has been mixed with Tech going 2-3 away from the Eblen Center, including Thursday's win at Austin Peay.

Tech has three players averaging double-digits in scoring with Kesha Brady leading the way with 13.7, Mackenzie Coleman at 11.7 and Anna Jones at 10.9. Jordan Brock and Jada Guinn, with their big games on Thursday, saw their scoring averages improve to 9.1 and 8.4 points respectively. Jones continues to lead the team in rebounding with a 6.5-board average, while Coleman (5.4), Guinn (5.3) and Brady (5.1) are all averaging at least five a game.

As a team, Tech is shooting .428 from the floor and .306 from 3-point range, while hitting .742 at the charity stripe.

In the all-time series, Tech owns a 66-18 advantage, winning the last two meetings. The Golden Eagles are 6-4 in the last 10 games, while head coach Kim Rosamond is 3-2 against the Racers. In the last meeting, Tech had five players score in double-digits as the Golden Eagles outscored Murray 49-40 in the second half to take the lead and stay ahead of the Racers late.
