COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – One game in the books and the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team won't have much time to dwell on the past as the Golden Eagles open Ohio Valley Conference play on Sunday against Jacksonville State.

Tipoff for the game is slated for 1 p.m. Sunday. Roger Ealey will have the call on 106.1 The Eagle, while Dylan Vazzano and Michael Cooper will provide broadcast duties on ESPN+.

Tech is coming off of a tough 76-65 loss on Friday to open the season at Chattanooga. It was an uncharacteristic performance, but it was also the team's first game of the season after COVID protocols wiped out the first four games of the season.

Kesha Brady scored 26 points and had eight rebounds, while Mackenzie Coleman had 17 points in the contest.

The Golden Eagles will entertain a 2-1 Jacksonville State team that topped Georgia Southern 70-58 and New Orleans 72-55, then fell to Georgia on Wednesday 68-47.

Yamia Johnson leads JSU with a 15.0-point average, while Jessie Day is averaging 7.3 rebounds per contest.

Tech leads the all-time series 23-12 dating back to 2004. Head coach Kim Rosamond is 4-4 against the Gamecocks, with JSU taking both meetings in 2020.

In the last meeting, Anacia Wilkinson led Tech with 19 points and seven boards, while Brady added 11 points and Abby Buckner had six points and 11 rebounds in a 64-61 loss at the Pete Mathews Coliseum. The Golden Eagles had a game-tying 3-point attempt at the buzzer to tie the game, but the shot bounced off the rim as time expired.

Kiana Johnson led JSU with 19 points, while Destiney Elliott had 12.

Season tickets are on sale for Tennessee Tech basketball, but seating is limited in accordance with NCAA and OVC policies this season. To order, visit TTUsports.com, call (931) 372-3940 or visit the Hooper Eblen ticket office.
