COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Tech's basketball doubleheader on Saturday, Jan. 30 will feature a minor change, with the men's and women's teams switching their official start times.
The Golden Eagle men's squad will now tip-off against Morehead State at 1:00 p.m. CT while the women's team will square off with the Eagles at 4:00 p.m.
The Morehead State women's team saw its Thursday contest at Jacksonville State postponed due to Gamecock COVID-19 protocols and to assist with the team's updated travel arrangements, the switch was made.
"We are all in this together," Tech Director of Athletics Mark Wilson said of the change. "In the Ohio Valley Conference, and really across the entire NCAA landscape, we all have to do what we can to try and adjust and provide these student-athletes a chance to compete, as long as it falls within the proper precautions set forth in regards to COVID-19 and keeping their health and safety a priority. This change allows for that and we are happy to help."
