Purple and gold to compete in Big Blue Intercollegiate to round out regular season

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team wraps up the 2022-23 regular season at the Big Blue Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio Valley Conference rival Tennessee State at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn. from Monday, Apr. 10 to Tuesday, Apr. 11.

BIG BLUE INTERCOLLEGIATE: Apr. 10-11, 2023 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-71, 7,020-yard President's Reserve Course at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are sophomore Jackson Skeen, junior Sean Anderson, freshman Anders Larson, senior Chance Taylor, and senior Bryce Beeler. Competing as individuals are freshman Haden Maxwell, junior Mark McDearman, and sophomore Alexander Bassel.  

THE COMPETITION: Among the teams competing at the Big Blue Intercollegiate are host Tennessee State, as well as Alabama A&M, Austin Peay, Belmont, Evansville, Florida A&M, John A. Logan College, Lindenwood, Longwood, Morehead State, NC A&T, Tennessee Tech, UAPB, and UT Martin.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "The final event before postseason is upon us. We have had a great deal of success at the Big Blue in the past and we look to continue that trend before we head off to OVC. President's Reserve is a great course that has traditionally set up very well for our guys and we are excited about the opportunity to compete and gain some good momentum before heading to conference."
