Where have they landed? New segment on Watson Brown Show highlights former student-athlete's lives

By Jocelyn VerVelde, TTU Sports Information Coordinator

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - This season on the Watson Brown Show, a new segment has been added. "Where have they landed?" focuses on 15 former student-athletes and where their lives have led them following their Tech careers.

Each Watson Brown Show will feature a two-minute segment where a former student-athlete recalls their time at Tech, tells stories from their lives, and tells where they are now in life.

The first segment highlights Larry Schreiber, a Tech running back from 1966-69, who went on to play for the Chicago Bears and the San Fransisco 49ers. Schreiber was the headline player for the Golden Eagles, setting school records which still stand today for most rushing yards (4,421) and most all-purpose yards (5,925). He was a three-time first-team all-OVC selection and was named the OVC Offensive Player of the Year in 1969. As a senior, he set school records for most rushing yards (1,522) and most points scored (78) and was voted Associated Press All-America.

An extended version (below) of the interview from the Watson Brown Show will be available on YouTube after the shorter segment airs each week.
