Saturday's game is Senior Night at Tech as four play
their final regular season game at Eblen Center
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. --- With the No. 3 seed of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament locked up, the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team will look to keep its momentum going into the tournament as it hosts Murray State Saturday on Senior Night.
The opening tip is set for 5:30 p.m., with the men's game slated to follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game.
With their 66-51 win over Eastern Kentucky last weekend, the Golden Eagles improved to 10-5 in league play and secured the No. 3 seed in the OVC Tournament and a first-round bye.
Murray State, which has two games remaining on its schedule including a game Thursday evening against Tennessee State, is currently tied with Eastern Kentucky for the No. 4 seed in the OVC Tournament, boasting a 7-7 conference record.
The Golden Eagles enter the weekend winners of eight of their last 10 games. Senior Tacarra Hayes and junior Jala Harris have led the Golden Eagle offense, averaging 14.5 and 13.6 points per game, respectively.
The Racers (11-16, 7-7 OVC) are led by Erica Burgess, who is averaging 16.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Mariah Robinson has also been a force for MSU, averaging 13.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
MSU stats do not include its game against TSU.

Golden Eagle fans are reminded to wear purple to the games.
Saturday's doubleheader is also Alumni Night and Senior Night, with the four seniors recognized about 10 minutes prior to tipoff at 5:20 p.m.
For Alumni Night, several dozen former players will be back for the event and will be recognized during halftime.
For Senior Night, Tech will say farewell to four seniors who are seeing their final action in Eblen Center.
During her two seasons at Tennessee Tech Brittany Darling has made a huge impact for the Golden Eagles. A seven-time OVC Newcomer of the Week, she has recorded six double-doubles and nearly 500 points, 400 rebounds and 65 blocks in 58 games. She is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies and will be joined on the court by her parents Kim Darling and Ted Kristoff.
